Out of the Ordinary Chili

  1. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  2. 1 1/2 pounds round steak, diced
  3. 2 cups water
  4. 1 tablespoon chili powder
  5. 1 tablespoon curry powder
  6. 3 tomatoes, seeded and diced
  7. 2 (15.5-ounce) cans kidney beans
  8. 1 cup chopped onion
  9. 3 green onions, chopped
  10. 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  1. Heat oil in a skillet. Add diced round steak and saute until lightly browned; drain.
  2. Add water, chili powder, and curry; simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Add diced tomatoes and kidney beans.
  4. Stir in chopped onions.
  5. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped green onions and shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Makes 6 servings
