Mescalero Chili


INGREDIENTS
  1. 3 pounds rough ground beef
  2. 2 pounds rough ground pork
  3. 2 medium onions, chopped
  4. 5 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  6. 1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
  7. 2 cups tomato sauce
  8. 1/2 cup tomato paste
  9. 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  10. 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  11. 5 whole jalapeno peppers
  12. 6 tablespoons Masa Harina
  13. 1 (12 ounce) can beer
  14. 12 ounces water
  15. 3 tablespoons ground cumin
  16. 1 teaspoon honey
DIRECTIONS
  1. Put beer and water into a large pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Add tomato sauce, soy sauce, and salt to taste.
  3. Fry meat and then add to pot.
  4. Sauté the onions and bell peppers in the meat grease and add to pot.
  5. Add tomato paste and all other ingredients.
  6. Cook for 45 minutes, stirring often.
  7. Makes 8 servings
